Specialist lender, CHL Mortgages, has today (24th July 2012) announced it has been independently assessed for its training and received the Accreditation of Employer Training from the National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS).
The NSAFS Accreditation Scheme was launched in 2010 and has accredited firms acrossEnglandandWales. To achieve the necessary standards and receive accreditation, employers’ training has to:
- Support both new and existing employees; and,
- Deliver the outcomes required by sponsoring departments.
CHL’s employee training was assessed onsite with a focus on the delivery of five key areas: leadership; people and strategy; resources and processes; products and services; and outcomes.
Achieving this level of accreditation gives CHL an external recognition of the quality of its training, measured against the European excellence model. The NSAFS have presented CHL with a plaque to display, plus it has also been placed in the ‘Accreditation Hall of Fame’ and can now use the Accreditation of Employer Training logo on all training and marketing materials.
CHL has been working with the NSAFS for the past two years and its staff have been working through the Leadership and Management Programme. At present twelve CHL employees are undertaking Level 3 and six are currently working through Level 5.
